Amphibians Unit

Description

Unit studies can play an essential role in early education. A unit study approach involves interesting multiple subjects around a central theme or topic, allowing students to explore various aspects of the topic in depth.

The topic of the unit study is Amphibians. Children love animals and this topic can boost students’ engagement and interest in learning as they are more likely to be curious and motivated.

This unit study is designed to make sure that the unit study approach aligns with the children’s developmental stage,  interests, and overall goals of the kindergarten and 1st-grade curriculum.

In unit study, students get to see how different subjects are interconnected.

Science – children will learn about types of amphibians, their life cycle, body parts, and habitat.

Language – vocabulary related to the topic, there is a letter sound mat activity for young children.

Math – 1 to 1o amphibians counting, addition and subtraction.       Art and craft – Amphibian-themed art
