Learn to Read Series – Phase two includes

1. Building CVC words
2. Reading CVC words
3. Reading small sentences

Once children learn and master all letters names and their sounds, they can start working on the pink series, where they learn to blend 3 letter words (CVC). These words can be read by simply blending the individual phoneme sounds together.
In Phase 2 (Pink Series), we are going to learn how to build 3 letter words with a, e, I, o, u vowels, as well as will learn some sight words and learn to read small sentences.

We begin our lesson with forming 3 letter (CVC) words using picture cards and letters.

First activity – choose one picture card, say its name, and identify the first, middle and last sound.

Second activity – reading the word and matching with the corresponding picture.
